Dwayne Hultquist Head Men's Coach / Co-Director

Under Dwayne Hultquist's leadership, Florida State men's tennis has emerged as one of the top twenty programs in the nation. Last season, Hultquist led the No. 10 Seminoles to its highest national ranking in program history as well as a fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance acting as host for Regionals. In 2005, Hultquist coached the Tribe, including two-time All-American Mat Cloer to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time ever. Entering his ninth season at Florida State, Hultquist first began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Texas. While working under legendary coach Dave Snyder, Hultquist coached nine All-Americans, helped lead the Longhorns to six conference titles and made it to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in each of his eight years. Hultquist began his tennis career at Penn State where he was a four-year letterman and team captain in 1986. 

 

Jennifer Hyde Head Women's Coach / Co-Director

Former Seminole Jennifer Hyde is in her 4th season as women’s tennis head coach at Florida State. In 2007, Hyde led the No. 13 Seminoles to their highest national ranking in program history. Hyde also became the second coach in Florida State history to be named Wilson/ITA South Region Coach of the Year. In season one of the Hyde era, she coached All-American Mihaela Moldovan to the NCAA Championships and earned a ranking as high as No. 29 in the country. Off the court, Hyde continues to establish a high value in academics as the women’s team has won the Golden Torch Award nine consecutive years for a varsity sport with highest overall GPA. A 1995 graduate of Florida State, Hyde returned to Tallahassee from the University of Houston where she spent five seasons as head coach. Hyde was a four-year letter winner for the Seminoles from 1991-94 and served as team captain her senior year.


Nick Crowell Assistant Men's Coach / Camp Coordinator

Entering into his fifth season, assistant coach Nick Crowell continues to have a profound impact on the Florida State tennis program. In 2007, Crowell helped lead the No. 10 Seminoles to their highest national ranking in program history after defeating the Florida Gators for the first time in 10 years. After boasting the No. 1 recruiting class in 2006, Crowell was named the ITA Mideast Region Men’s Tennis Assistant Coach of the Year and became a finalist for the national award. Crowell’s dedication to High Performance and Seminole Tennis Camps has allowed the tennis community to flourish in Tallahassee.  Crowell began his collegiate tennis career at the University of Texas where he earned All-American honors in doubles and also won the ITA National Indoor Doubles Championships.  He later went on to achieve a career high World Ranking in doubles of #370 in the world. 

 

Oliver Foreman Assistant Women's Coach

Entering into his third season as Florida State’s assistant women's tennis coach, Oliver Foreman has helped lead the Seminoles to one of the top collegiate programs in the nation. Last season, Foreman assisted the Tribe with no loses outside of the No. 11 team in the nation and finished the season No. 5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Foreman began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach at the Ali Hamadeh's Tennis Academy in 2004. During his brief stint there he coached four juniors to the Super Nationals Tournament and also aided in generating a prestigious junior development program with over 40 juniors. Foreman played on the Professional Tennis Tour from 2002-2004 and prior to that competed four years at Middle Tennessee State where he ranked as high as No.5 nationally in doubles.
