"QuickStart" Tennis
Our program is also offering "QuickStart" Tennis utilizing the USTA's 36/60 Format for beginner tennis players. "America's Plan for 10 and Under Tennis.” It is the USTA's new plan for the best way to teach kids ages 5-10.
Project 36/60 is tennis scaled to the size and abilities of young players. It is based on six variables: age, court size, net height, ball speed and weight, length of racquet, and scoring. 36/60 reflects the length in feet of the courts for children under 8 and under 10. The three main goals of this program are to increase the number of beginning players ages 5 to 10 , to increase the retention of players 5 to 10 and beyond, and to improve the technical, tactical and physical development of players ages 5 to 10. At our program, we will have a 4:1 student instructor ratio.
